Miners win barnburner over OIlers

A bases-loaded walk became the difference in this 21-run affair that saw the Mat-Su Miners win 11-10 over the Peninsula Oilers Firday night at Hermon Brothers Field.
The Oilers scored all 11 runs in the span of three consetuive innings that saw both teams score 2 or more runs in each frame. As both sides went to the bullpen for the second time the offenses became quiet, but Will Godfrey's RBI-walk with the bases juiced against Russ Martin gave the Miners a slight edge.
Jonathan Anders came out the pen second for Mat-Su and shoved. Through 4 1/3 innings, Anders gave up no runs on one hit and struck out four hitters. Anders collected his second win on the season and in his last three appearances, all coming against the Oilers, he has thrown 9 1/3 scoreless innings with one hit and 13 strikeouts.
Jackson Babcock drove in three runs on a single and a sacrifice fly. Diesel Toth drove in a pair on a triple and a groundout.
